The client wanted a mirror with warm tones that would enhance and brighten the dining room. Together, we selected the most suitable finish and the ideal colors to complement the room.

The choice of Lua in a bronze shade, which elegantly contrasts with the cool tones of the green marble, lends the overall design a particularly refined aesthetic.

Antiqued mirrors

Antique mirrors are created using a process known as silvering, an ancient technique dating back to the 19th century.

Through a chemical process, metallic silver is separated and deposited onto the surface of the glass, forming the reflective layer. The subsequent ageing process is carried out using various oxidising agents applied to the silver-coated sheet, which allow for the adjustment of texture, depth and the degree of ageing.

Verre églomisé

Il Verre églomisé è una tecnica decorativa che prevede l’applicazione a mano di foglie d’oro, argento o altri metalli preziosi sul retro del vetro, creando un effetto riflettente sulla superficie.

I complement this technique with further decorative and painting processes: the use of pigments, powders and natural resins is combined with oxidative treatments of metal leaf, creating unique surfaces with an infinite variety of colour effects.
